Best Waste Carrier Award for Enva Northern Ireland Ltd

| Enva Northern Ireland Ltd has been awarded ‘Best Waste Carrier’ at the recent NIEA Sustainable Ireland Awards 2009, held in the Ramada Hotel Belfast. |

| Present at the event were leading players in the environmental, waste management and energy sectors, all competing for 13 separate award categories with the aim of identifying the best in each market. |
|
| Enva Northern Ireland Ltd was awarded “Best Waste Carrier” at the event due to the company demonstrating high levels of efficiency, competence, health & safety, extensive service portfolios and a high quality transport fleet. |

| Speaking of the award win, Barry Johnson, General Manager – Enva Northern Ireland Ltd said “We believe a good waste carrier to be a company who not only holds a waste carriers licence, but a company who has created and employs a great corporate framework for all business activities, incorporating strong health, safety and environmental practices, employee skills and high service levels through all levels of its organisation – at Enva, we believe we have achieved this. | Forming part of the environmental division of DCC plc and specialising in the treatment and recycling of hazardous wastes, Enva Northern Ireland Ltd operates two NIEA licensed facilities located in Drumaness and Carryduff. Sister companies Enva Ireland Ltd operates four licensed facilities in Portlaoise, Cork, Shannon and Dublin, while Enva UK Ltd operates a waste water treatment operation based in Runcorn, Cheshire. |
