Enva Appoints New Directors
Date: 04 January 2008
| Enva Ireland Ltd has brought about a major strengthening of its senior management team, with the appointment of four new directors. |
| The new directors are Finbarr Pyne (Technical Development Director), John MacNamara (Finance Director), Anne Fitzpatrick (Divisional Director) and Anthony Mulhall (Divisional Director). They will join the existing directors of Declan Ryan (Managing), Gareth Kelly (Chief Operating Officer), Mathew Keogh (Engineering), Tommy Breen (DCC plc), and Thomas Davy (DCC plc) |
| Commenting on these appointments, Declan Ryan noted: “Possessing a collective experience of over 70 years in this industry and offering extensive experience, skill and expertise, these well-earned appointments mark another important step forward in the continued and well-managed development of Enva, while maintaining our culture of teamwork, technical expertise and focus on quality of service to clients”. |
| Since the foundation of the original Atlas operation in 1972, Enva has greatly expanded its capabilities, both organically and through acquisition, across a wide variety of waste management issues. A subsidiary of DCC plc, Enva Ireland Ltd is today structured into seven specialised divisions, across four licensed facilities in the Republic of Ireland (Portlaoise, Shannon, Cork and Dublin). Each division focuses on a certain business area and has its own identity within Enva. These include Industrial & Automotive, Field Services, Hazardous Waste, Soil Treatment, Underground Services, Water Treatment, and Foodservice Solutions. |
| Through its sister company Enva Northern Ireland Ltd, Enva also operates two licensed hazardous waste facilities in Northern Ireland (Drumaness and Carryduff), while Enva UK Ltd focuses on the UK water and effluent treatment market, from its base in Runcorn. |
| Enva has plans in place to expand operations in all regions in the near future, as well as continuing its investment programme in developing innovative treatment processes focusing primarily on recovery rather than disposal, as well as seeking new opportunities in the area of non-hazardous waste treatment. Currently, Enva is the only waste management company within Ireland to offer this level of specialised technical expertise combined with the infrastructure to deliver this service. |
