Portlaoise

Our Portlaoise facility is EPA licensed and occupies a seven acre site located in the centre of Ireland and is thus conveniently placed to act as both a treatment facility and also a transfer station for wastes destined for alternative treatment facilities.

The facility has been operating as an oil reprocessing plant since 1978. Waste oils are recovered for reuse rather than allowed to contribute to the pollution of the aquatic or terrestrial environments. The facility has received major investment since 2000 to automate the handling and processing of the waste oil bring the plant firmly into the 21st century.		 Enva 

At this facility we also remediate contaminated soils (hydrocarbon & metal contamination) using a variety of technologies including biological, physical & chemical treatment. This reduces significantly the volume of contaminated soils that have to be exported out of the country for processing.  

Our Industrial & Automotive Division is largely serviced at the Portlaoise facility with our used oil filter processing carried out on site. Other automotive related wastes are also handled at the facility, being either bulked for shipment to one of our other facilities or packaged for shipment abroad to one of our partner companies on the continent. Waste 

The Portlaoise location also acts as our Headquarters and demonstrating our commitment to sound environmental practice our offices were constructed with a high regard for the environment. The office heating is supplied by waste heat from the processing of waste oil, with the building itself being thermally efficient having a high degree of thermal insulation and passive heating. In addition rainwater is reused to service toilets and all interior decorating uses only organic water based paints.
